Saw two adult hens and several poults eatin grasshoppers in a cut field on our property. The poults looked pretty good sized. They should be in good shape come fall.

I went up yesterday. The hillside was torn up . So it looks like you maybe right on a good hatch. I had a couple of pics on the trail cams. Tailfeathers in one and one standin in the bushes. Maybe with that many around I'll get some pics of em.

I drove by one of the places I hunt and 3 hens with their poults were going through the field, looked like maybe 25 total. How long till fall season? Hmmmm.....................

2 months from sunday! Too long!LOL! I havent been down to the farms much since early july. the last cutting. So if our land is holdin a lot.That place should be crazy with birds. 8-)

Yep believe it or not all the jakes and the couple of longbeards from the spring season,have been seen all summer by the neighbors up there. For some reason they have wandered off for parts unknown? We saw the big ol duffer my buddy missed. He's alive and well.

. With the corn in the flats and grain field on top. I'm choppin at the bit for next spring. They just cut this huge field in the back ground some kind of grain??, it's gettin mobbed by turkeys I guess.
